Donkervoort returned in the latest Asphalt 9 update with its last D8 model, the D8 GTO-Individual Series. The City of Lights is now available.
The presence in one of the world’s top racing games takes the Donkervoort ethos of ultra light weight and no compromises to a new car-loving audience, with four million people downloading Asphalt 9 in the first week on the world’s app stores.
That will mean Donkervoort lovers can drive their customisable supercars as fast as they like through the streets of the French capital on anything from a smartphone to a tablet to a laptop computer or console.
Switch to racing mode
The Asphalt 9 game is available on everything from the Apple App store to Google Play to the Galaxy Store to Microsoft, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and even Steam.
So highly was the D8 GTO-Individual Series rated by Asphalt’s producers that it has gifted its own legend pass - reserved for the most exclusive supercars out of the 200-plus range of cars it simulates. Players can use this to unlock the car and other special benefits.
Asphalt 9 has five different racing modes, ranging from Career, Multiplayer, Club, Daily Events and Seasonal Events, and there is even a Drive Syndicate, where drivers have to escape chasing police, which Donkervoort very much does not recommend on the road. Or on Ambassador Tours.
